Netflix Reveals Paul Dano’s Look in the Upcoming Sci-Fi Drama

Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming sci-fi drama film Spaceman, which is set to premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival next month. Starring Adam Sandler, Carey Mulligan, and Paul Dano, the movie is an adaptation of Jaroslav Kalfař’s 2017 novel Spaceman of Bohemia.

Spaceman revolves around an astronaut, Jakub Procházka, (Adam Sandler) as he begins to worry about his marriage during his research mission at the edge of the solar system. Desperate for reconciliation, he seeks the help of Hanuš (Paul Dano), an ancient creature aboard his ship, to mend things before it’s too late.

The movie is directed by the Swedish filmmaker Johan Renck, who is known for working on the HBO miniseries Chernobyl and The Walking Dead. As the film’s trailer revealed the first look at the characters, Dano’s giant spider-like alien is generating significant anticipation and support from viewers ahead of the film’s release.
