As the second-hand smartphone market continues to flourish in China, Huawei has decided to sell the refurbished P50 Pro and Enjoy 50z units to its local customers.
The move is part of the company’s remedy to the demand for its smartphones amid the challenging mass manufacturing of new units. This apparently benefits customers who want to get their hands on some of the brand’s models without breaking the bank. It currently offers a very limited list of refurbished models on its website, but the company assures customers that all second-hand units underwent quality inspections and use 100% original components (and come with original accessories). In hopes of continuing this goal, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer added the P50 Pro and Enjoy 50z to its list.
The P50 Pro is powered by Qualcomm SM8350 Snapdragon 888 4G, which is complemented by a 4,360mAh battery and up to 12GB RAM. It features a 6.6-inch curved OLED display with a 1228 x 2700 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. As for its camera system, it boasts Leica optics alongside its quad-camera setup consisting of 50MP wide with OIS, a 64MP periscope telephoto with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 40MP monochrome sensor. Its front cam, on the other hand, comes at 13MP and is capable of 4K@30fps video recording.
Meanwhile, the Enjoy 50z model offers a 6.52-inch 720 x 1600 IPS LCD and Octa-core. Unlike the P50 Pro, it has lower specifications for its camera system (rear: 50MP wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth/front: 5MP wide), but it is capable of 1080p@30fps video recording. As for its battery, it has a bigger capacity of 5000 mAh.
Needless to say, the prices of the refurbished models will depend on configurations, albeit cheaper compared to the brand-new models being offered by the company. According to Huawei’s website, these are the prices of the units based on their storage capacity:
