Xiaomi continues its plan to expand the availability of its Xiaomi 14 series, and fans in Saudi Arabia are the latest to have access to the new models.

Xiaomi 14 has been recently launched globally, with the company allowing the fans to see the models at MWC in Barcelona, Spain. According to Xiaomi, the launch was a success, especially in China and Europe. Xiaomi president Lu Weibing reported that the European sales of its 14 Ultra tripled compared to last year’s generation. The executive further shared that the company had to stock the units in advance to ensure the supply would be met.

With this success, the company has expanded the availability of the series, which is now set to be available soon in Saudi Arabia. Xiaomi 14 is expected to hit the stores first, with the 14 Ultra following after that. The basic Xiaomi 14 model will be available in Black, White, and Jade Green, with its configuration only coming in one option: 12GB RAM/512GB storage. The 14 Ultra, on the other hand, will come in Black and White color options but will offer a higher 16GB RAM/512GB configuration.

The series is being advertised as a highly camera-focused lineup, especially the 14 Ultra, which boasts a powerful camera system. At MWC, Xiaomi highlighted the power of Ultra’s camera system by underscoring its variable aperture system, which is also present in Xiaomi 14 Pro. With this capability, 14 Ultra can perform 1,024 stops between f/1.63 and f/4.0, with the aperture appearing to open up and close down to do the trick during a demo shown by the brand prior to the event.

Aside from that, Ultra comes with 3.2x and 5x telephoto lenses, which are both stabilized. Meanwhile, Xiaomi also equipped the Ultra model with a log recording capability, a feature that recently debuted in the iPhone 15 Pro. The feature can be a useful tool for users who want serious video capabilities on their phones, allowing them to have flexibility in editing colors and contrast in post-production.

As for the Xiaomi 14, fans can expect an upgrade compared to the brand’s telephoto camera in the previous year. From the former 10-megapixel chip that Xiaomi gave us last year, this year’s 14 model has 50-megapixel wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras.
