OnePlus targets Google Pixel to promote 12R helobaba.com

OnePlus 12R

Google Pixel smartphones are undeniably interesting devices, but OnePlus believes its creations are far better in terms of overall value. Specifically, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer claimed that its cheaper OnePlus 12R model is the “upgrade” Google Pixel users need.

OnePlus released the 12R model in February, offering its fans the Qualcomm SM8550-AB Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (4 nm) chip, up to 256GB/16GB RAM UFS 3.1 configuration, and a camera system with 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera and 4K@30/60fps capability. It comes at a $499 price tag, which is comparatively more affordable than the Pixel smartphones in the market.

Nonetheless, the company offered a $399 starting price for the model through a trade-in deal. As the company has always been trying to do, it wants to paint its devices as a cheaper option for other bigger brands and models in the market.

Of course, compared with Google’s latest offerings, like the Pixel 8 Pro, which has a price tag of $999, the offer is indeed cheaper. However, in terms of features and other sections, Pixel remains the dominant option for some. Yet, in the end, OnePlus’ message is clear: 12R and its other models remain the affordable options in the market while offering decent hardware and features.
