Adani Group Commits to Invest Rs 12,400 Crore in Telangana Over Next 10 Years | India Business News helobaba.com

HYDERABAD: Gujarat-based infrastructure conglomerate Adani Group is all set to cement its presence in Telangana with fresh commitments to the tune of Rs 12,400 crore cutting across green energy projects to defence, cement and data centres.
The Adani Group inked four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with the Telangana government at the World Economic Forum at Davos in the presence of Adani Group founder chairman Gautam Adani and Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy.
While Adani Enterprises Ltd will be investing Rs 5,000 crore in a 100MW data centre at Chandanvelly that will be powered by renewable energy over the next five to seven years and will create about 600 direct and indirect jobs, Adani Green Energy Ltd will be pumping in Rs 5,000 crore in setting up two pump storage projects of 850MW and 500MW at Koyabestagudem and Nacharam, respectively.
This even as Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd will be injecting another Rs 1,000 crore over the next 10 years in setting up a comprehensive ecosystem for the research, development, design, manufacturing and integration of counter drone and missile systems at the Adani Aerospace Park close to the Hyderabad international airport.
This defence related investment by Adani group will not just boost India’s defence capabilities but also provide over 1,000 jobs, it said.
Another Adani Group company, Ambuja Cements, will be investing Rs 1,400 crore in setting up a 6 million tonnes per annum cement plant spread over 70 acres in Telangana. The project, Adani Group said, will significantly enhance Ambuja Cements’ capabilities and will create nearly 4,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Speaking on the occasion, Adani group chairman Gautam Adani said the Adani group would continue growing in Telangana at a rapid pace.
Also present at the MoU signing were Telangana IT & industries minister D Sridhar Babu, Telangana IT & industries principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Telangana investment promotion special secretary Vishnu Vardhan Reddy.
