Commonly known as ‘Jodha bai,’ she is stated as the favourite and an influential consort of Akbar, having a considerable influence in the matters of the court. In 1569, she gave birth to Nur-ud-Din Muhammad Salim, known by his imperial name Jahangir who was the fourth Mughal Emperor, who ruled from 1605 until his death in 1627.
