So far, 2024 has started off with a bang as there have already been some amazing achievements in the gaming industry, mainly from the new game Palworld, which has already begun taking over Steam charts as one of the biggest games in the world at the moment, but there could be a new contender for that title.
The game in question is known as Enshrouded, and it is a fantasy base-building, open-world game that allows you to take control of a character you design and explore in what can only be described as a beautiful world. Even though it has only been in early access for a few days, gamers are already rushing over to jump onto the hype train and enjoy their fantasy adventures.
What Is Included in Enshrouded’s Gameplay?
To be clear, at the current moment, Palworld is still one of the most popular games on Steam, while also being incredibly popular on Xbox consoles. However, Enshrouded has begun to creep up behind Palworld, as players are realizing that this new title is just as amazing as the other, and now gamers have to decide on which game they would like to play.
For those who do not know, Enshrouded is a brand-new game from developer Keen Games, and it tasks you to survive in a world full of mystery and monsters. One main aspect of this game is its exploration, as it tasks players with searching through ruins, caves, and more as they try to find loot and information to help them along their journey.
With a weapon in your hand, you can delve into the land of the mists to fight the Malice as they attempt to slaughter you and your friends. This isn’t all, as there are plenty of bosses to fight as well, giving players plenty of content to play through.
If you are just looking to relax and enjoy the green grass that fills the beginning location of the game, then good news: there is a base-building mechanic included in the game. This will allow you to build incredible structures with perfect detail, and not just a house, but you can also mine into mountains, dig into the ground, and more.
Since the game is still in early access, there are plenty of features that are currently unavailable or aren’t present in the game as of yet. However, we can see that there are the makings of a fantastic game, as players are already flocking to Enshrouded to enjoy the chaos they can cause.
What Makes Enshrouded Different From Palworld, and Why Is It a Potential Competitor?
Even though these two games are entirely different, there are some similarities that will have gamers wondering which one is arguably better in certain aspects. Whether that be the base-building, the gliding, the graphics, or just the general gameplay,.
So far, with both games currently being in early access and not having all of their planned content, we cannot give a reasonable argument as to which game is better, but we can say that each game does have its merits, as Palworld has already begun to break down the walls of the creature-catching genre, while Enshrouded is working tirelessly to become the next Minecraft.
Each of these titles is amazing in its own right, but currently Palworld is still ahead regarding concurrent players, as it has gone well over the 2 million mark on multiple occasions, whereas Enshrounded has managed to reach 1 million players after only a few days of being active, which, even though it is a big achievement, still has a long way to go.
Until both games have been released for a certain amount of time, we cannot make any judgment calls regarding which game is better, but if Enshrouded manages to keep up with Pocketpair’s title, then there could be a major fluctuation within the gaming industry.
