Activision Blizzard’s Entire Catalog Teased for Xbox Game Pass

After many issues, the Activision/Blizzard acquisition by Xbox and Microsoft was finally officialized in October of last year. The first question that came from the fans was the possibility of all these new games coming to Game Pass. In the latest official Xbox Podcast, several new details were confirmed, among them the launch of Diablo IV on Game Pass. This game in particular will be available in March for the online service.

Yesterday was a big day for Xbox. After many rumors of the brand going fully multiplatform, Phil Spencer clarified that only four titles were going to other platforms. In addition to this news, Diablo IV was confirmed for Game Pass coming in March, the first big game from Blizzard to be in this service.

A very popular Call of Duty insider noticed very particular details in the official statement about Blizzard and Activision games coming to Game Pass. CharlieIntel posted a text in X with all the details of the Activision/Blizzard titles in the Xbox service. The statement talks about the classic and legendary games of this company coming to Game Pass in the near future. A very particular sentence stands out: “both new releases and classic catalog games.”

This refers to the Day One on Game Pass feature that exclusive Xbox games have.

This statement could mean different things. Call of Duty games could be available on Game Pass Day One, just as for other Blizzard games. Microsoft and Xbox were very careful about the words they used to communicate this, but this could be possible in the near future; the Activision and Blizzard catalogs are huge.

It seems that Diablo IV will be the first of many new games to come to Game Pass.

No more details were given about when these games will be available on Game Pass, but it appears it won’t be long until this happens. According to Xbox, Game Pass has more than 34 million unique users; the company is looking to have 100 million in the next few years.
