Egghead Arc Will Finally Reveal an Elusive Character First Hinted by Eiichiro Oda in Chapter 1

One Piece has been shrouded in mystery, and even more than two decades later, there are still so many aspects of the story that Oda sensei has kept hidden from his audience. However, as the story approaches its end, it looks like many mysteries are starting to be revealed slowly.

A character of utter prominence is Dr. Vegapunk, who was shown in the very first chapter of the series but major details about him were not revealed until the Egghead arc, where he is one of the most important characters and would play a crucial role in helping Luffy and his crew go up against the world government.

Dr Vegapunk revealed in the Egghead arc in One Piece

Oda’s sensei magnum opus began in 1999 and, since then, has been dominating the anime industry with an overwhelming fanbase.

More than 20 years later, when most of the series would have ended or the story would have died down, One Piece only keeps getting better and better.

The story is in its final saga and the current arc is the Egghead arc, which revealed many characters, one of whom was the acclaimed Dr. Vegapunk. He ate a Logia fruit that lets him digitize his consciousness.

He was hinted at from the very first chapter of the series and is a crucial figure in the story, as the world’s government technologies were all developed by him.

In the current arc, the world government wants him dead, as he knows too much about them and his genius brain, which can defeat anyone.

However, he has decided to side with the Strawhats and has taken up his stance against the world government.
