The master of foreshadowing, Eiichiro Oda, has many mysteries and hidden characters in his magnum opus, One Piece. The mystery and excitement around these characters have grabbed the viewer’s attention for so long, and fans eagerly wait for the development of the story to get to know more about such characters.

One such mystery in the world of One Piece is Pandaman. Hardcore One Piece fans may have seen a suspicious Panda with a man’s body who makes sudden cameos in the story but doesn’t hold any importance to the plotline. Many fans believe that he appears as a joke or comedic aspect of One Piece.

However, some One Piece admirers believe that Oda san has some secret plan for the character, and he will surely have some kind of impact in the future of the story. But Oda has never explicitly focused on him in the story and usually talked about him only in the SBS Volumes of One Piece.

The Pandaman in One Piece

Eiichiro Oda created the joke character Pandaman, who is one of the most well-known Easter eggs to be found in One Piece. Pandaman, who was first created for a Kinnikuman character creation contest, has since made cameos in numerous manga chapters, anime episodes, motion pictures, and other media. 

The majority of concrete information about Pandaman, if not all of it, has been made public through the SBS in part because he is known as a joke character. This information may or may not be genuine because of Oda’s actions. The thing that makes Pandaman stand out the most is his stylized panda-like head.

It remains to be seen if this is a mask or his true face. His physical attributes, however, can differ greatly between appearances. On his forehead, the word “PANDA” might show up, which is one of his most distinctive features. While he has made multiple cameos in the One Piece story over 20-plus years, his intentions and his role are still unknown to many fans.

The Mystery Behind Pandaman Explained

Pandaman is frequently drawn amid tightly packed crowds, and sometimes his head is only visible, peeking out from behind a few people or peeking at the edge of a panel. Fans often have to scan every individual in a group or crowd to locate him because he is usually so small.

Pandaman has appeared in approximately 108 episodes of the anime and 263 manga cameos. He also makes a handful of appearances in the remaining installments of the franchise. Primarily present for amusement, he doesn’t appear to have any significant impact on the story.
