Jennifer Lawrence’s Sweet Text For Her Hunger Game Co-star After Five Nights at Freddys’ Box Office Success Revealed
Josh Hutcherson might have faced a lean run for the past few years in Hollywood. But he has turned the situation around in style. The star of Hunger Games fame has delivered another blockbuster which seems to have brought him back into the limelight. And no one is happier than his former co-star, Jennifer Lawrence. It’s been years since the two have worked together. But she still couldn’t contain her happiness when she saw her old friend getting the recognition he deserved.
Josh Hutcherson’s video game adaptation was a movie to behold
When it was announced that Five Nights at Freddy’s was getting a live-action remake, not many were hopeful. After all better games have had adaptations that left their fans disappointed. But director Emma Tammi’s work fared rather well.
The 2023 flick surprised one and all. It might not have received critical acclaim, with Rotten Tomatoes labeling it as “muddled and decidedly unscary”. But the fans couldn’t be more in love with it. After all, it was the perfect tribute for them.

Five Nights at Freddy’s was loved by the fans
The movie was the perfect tribute to the die-hard fans of the game. It had everything, affable characters, a villain whom you couldn’t help but hate – everything that the fans fell in love with. No wonder it was a success at the Box Office.
Five Nights at Freddy’s has already made earnings in the north of $290 million on a budget of $20 million. Quite a stat isn’t it? The cast, including Josh Hutcherson, couldn’t be more pumped for the future, as they plan to develop it into a franchise altogether. In a chat with Variety, the Zathura: A Space Adventure star, got candid about the future of the franchise. And about a message from an old friend.

Speaking to Variety, Josh Hutcherson said,
“Jen texted me when “Freddy’s’ came out,” Hutcherson said. “She was like, ‘My movie’s #1 on Netflix, and your’s is #1 at the box office! Let’s go!’ I was like, ‘I love you!’” (Variety)

The Passengers star’s response is not a surprise. The duo became good friends while filming the Hunger Games franchise. You would expect that to happen when you survive a game together.
