Doctor Doom Almost Had His Solo Feature
Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, is one of the most iconic characters in Marvel comics. While the character has been featured in the earlier Fantastic Four movies, fans have been anticipating seeing a faithful adaptation of the Marvel villain on the big screen.
And the anticipation reached its peak when Fox announced a solo film focusing on the character. Filmmaker Noah Hawley was reportedly attached to write the script of the movie. However, the film never progressed beyond securing a writer, as no actor or director officially joined the movie.
Regrettably, the film went into limbo as the studios continued to explore various approaches for the Marvel character. Later reports revealed that the studio has no plans to proceed with the movie. However, there are still discussions that Marvel Studios can build upon a narrative to introduce the character in the MCU.

Doctor Doom Solo Film Could Set the Stage For the Potential New Arch-Nemesis
There have been several rumors and discussions about Doctor Doom possibly replacing Kang the Conqueror in the MCU. These rumors have only gained momentum with the studio firing Jonathan Majors from future projects due to legal reasons.
One of the significant aspects of Doctor Doom joining the franchise also comes from the comics itself, as he has been the central figure in 2015’s Secret Wars comic book storyline. With Jonathan Majors‘ exit, fans are hoping to see a more accurate adaptation with Victor Von Doom starring in the upcoming 2027 movie.
Introducing Victor Von Doom with a solo feature could offer a glimpse into his origin story, providing context before he transforms into the formidable villain during the events of Avengers: Secret Wars. Fans have been rooting for the Oppenheimer star Cillian Murphy to take on the role in the mega-franchise.
