Modern Warfare 3, But What About Those Who Have Already Bought It?

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is one of the latest online games from Activision Blizzard. It’s an unsurprising release given the fact that the company follows a policy where it releases a new online game every 1-2 years. The new titles usually have improvements, new graphics, and more playable content.

But today, a huge error was spotted by developers and had to be fixed immediately. Modern Warfare 3’s in-game store offers special discounts and bundles occasionally, and it’s the station to get cooler skins. However, this time, players accidentally overpaid to buy a new special bundle.

Activision Blizzard Refunds Extra COD Points

An incorrect listing on the MW3 store has caused a bit of a disruption.

The listing bug has a simple explanation: the developers typed the wrong price. The initial price was 2400 COD Points for the bundle, but Activision Blizzard published it as 3400. The mistake was noticed after a few hours, meaning thousands of players had already bought it.

Fortunately, the players will receive the extra 1000 COD Points. That’s a move, but considering the ones who bought the COD Points won’t be able to get their real money back is exactly why the simple error matters. Activision Blizzard doesn’t let you request a refund for the COD Points.

The Gassed Up WSP-9 bundle, which was the overpriced item in question, is now available for the correct amount. It contains three weapons and some small cosmetic items. If you’re unfamiliar to the COD Points system, 4000 COD Points equals $39.99, which many players spent to get this bundle.

For the ones who are strangers to Call of Duty, it’s worth mentioning that those bundles don’t upgrade the weapons and make them stronger. The weapons on the game market are only changing the visuals and sounds. Still, hundreds of thousands of players catch special discounts to collect the best-looking skins in the game every day.

Though the in-game purchases always exist, the special bundles only arrive occasionally. That’s why the community is raging about the accidental overcharge.

The Player Reactions to the Mistake Are Mixed

Activision Blizzard has fixed its latest error.

The community’s reaction to the error has been mixed. Some players acknowledge that mistakes can happen, while others are more critical, pointing out that such errors can undermine player trust.

Activision Blizzard has issued a statement correcting the oversight and has assured players that it is working to prevent similar issues in the future.

Despite this hiccup, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 remains popular for gamers worldwide. Its engaging gameplay, stunning graphics, and regular updates continue to attract new players while keeping seasoned veterans entertained.

With the issue now resolved, players can enjoy the game’s competitive world again. If you’re one of those who bought the bundle, your 1000 COD Points will be refunded automatically. There’s no need to reach the game support.

What’s your opinion on this? Do you accept Activision Blizzard’s apologies as a gamer? Make sure to leave a comment and let us know your thoughts.
