Most Outrageous Allegations Against Keanu Reeves Could Have Cost Him $3 Million

Keanu Reeves is inevitably one of the best gifts that not only the entertainment industry but the whole wide world could ever be bestowed with. Besides being one of the most remarkable actors of all time with considerable talent in the music industry as well, he is also regarded as one of the friendliest and most down-to-earth celebrities in all of Hollywood, if not the world.

And yet, he once reportedly became the victim of one of the most outrageous allegations against him by a Canadian woman that he had never even met. In fact, the lawsuit filed by the woman went so far as to almost cost Keanu Reeves a stunning $3 million. However, truth always prevails, and so did it in the Hollywood heartthrob’s case as well.

Everybody knows just how massive of a gentleman Keanu Reeves is. Despite all the troubles and hardships he has faced in life, the hotshot never stopped being the best version of himself. But it is the best of people that often get faced with the hardest of trials, and so happened with him as well.

This incident dates back to almost one and a half decades ago in 2009, when Reeves was already more than just a household name, riding the high waves of fame. It was during this time that an outrageous lawsuit was slapped against him for having impregnated a woman by deceiving her.

According to the details shared by CP24, Canadian woman Karen Sala accused Reeves of having hypnotized her and disguised himself as her ex-husband, only to impregnate her with her four adult children. What’s worse is that these were only some of the major allegations.

For all of these allegations, Sala not only sought $150,000 per month for child support, which was to be retroactive from June of 1988 but also demanded $3 million in spousal support retroactive from November of 2006 from The Matrix star.

In response, Keanu Reeves stood his ground to vehemently deny that he had never even met the woman, let alone hypnotize and impregnate her. This was followed by a paternity test done at the advice of the John Wick actor’s attorney.

Thankfully, the truth came out with the DNA test results, and Reeves’ innocence was proved in court with Judge Fred Graham dismissing the lawsuit with the verdict:

“The applicant’s evidence is so incredible that it is not capable of acceptance by any reasonable trier of fact. A trial in this case would be a waste of limited judicial resources.”

Yet, while the lawsuit was dismissed with Keanu Reeves’ proven non-guilty and no longer having to pay anything to anyone, much greater damage was done that most failed to notice and realize.

Even as the judge dismissed the case and declared Keanu Reeves of being innocent, the woman Karen Sala still continued to allege the actor was the biological father of her adult children. Yet even that wasn’t the worst part.

What made it all the worse was the fact that almost a decade before this lawsuit was filed against him, Reeves had lost his first and only child, his late daughter Ava Archer Syme-Reeves to stillbirth after eight months of pregnancy with his late former partner Jennifer Syme in 1999 (as per Paper).

The heartache this devastating turn of events brought to the pair was so painful that they eventually ended up parting their ways. Even though they later ended up reconciling, Reeves was faced with even greater grief as he lost Syme as well in an accident.

After having suffered from heartbreaks as devastating as these, Reeves was in enough pain, and the outrageous lawsuit only further fueled his devastation. As was evident through his later statement with UsMagazine.com, where he shared the worst thing a fan had done to him:

“Accuse me of being a father,” Reeves said at an NYC screening of his new film Henry’s Crime on Monday night. “I had to go to court. It was horrible. I didn’t do it. I’m not the dad.”

All in all, even though Keanu Reeves was saved from paying in millions for something he didn’t even do, it still left somewhat of a crater on his already bruised heart.
