No Way Home Reportedly Earned Him Way More Than Chalamet’s Dune 2

Tom Holland and Timothée Chalamet are two of the biggest young stars of this generation. There’s no doubt that after starring in massive franchises, they have earned quite a fortune that surpasses other celebrities of the same age.

Holland’s appearance in Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man movies has brought immense popularity to the actor, earning him the opportunity to star alongside the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Samuel L. Jackson, and Willem Dafoe.

On the other hand, Chalamet’s performance in Dune only exemplified his versatility as an actor. In fact, his net worth doubled over the years after he starred in the big-screen adaptation of Frank Herbert’s 1965 science fiction novel of the same title.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man Payday Massively Dwarfs Timothée Chalamet’s Salary In Dune Franchise

As the premiere day for Timothée Chalamet’s Dune: Part Two fast approaches, so does his paycheck. The actor will reprise his role as Paul Atreides in the movie, and a report from Showbiz Galore claimed that he will take home $3 million for the Dune sequel, only $800,000 more than what he earned from the first installment.

Despite the meager addition, the Call Me By Your Name actor remains grateful for the opportunity to star in diverse types of movies. Of all the projects he has done, Dune has something that sets it apart from the rest. He told Deadline:

I like to think that with every film I’ve done… the character you play is almost a piece of your flesh. And that’s always true, but simply from the perspective of how long the shoot for Dune was, and also the arc that Paul Atreides is on, as well as the huge love and almost biblical connection that so many people have for the book and the original film, it really felt… tectonic, if that’s the right word for it.”

Meanwhile, Tom Holland’s massive salary for 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home saw him take home $5 million, as compared to his paycheck in Homecoming with $500,000 and Far From Home with $4 million.

With the report of an upcoming Spider-Man 4 movie, Holland is yet to earn another colossal salary. However, the actor previously said that he’s been in active conversations about bringing the character back on the big screen. He said to Collider:

Whether or not we can find a way to do justice to the character is another thing. I feel very protective over Spider-Man. I feel very, very lucky that we were able to work on a franchise that got better with each movie, that got more successful with each movie, which I think is really rare, and I want to protect his legacy.”

While Tom Holland and Timothée Chalamet are considered the biggest stars of this time, it’s clear that the Uncharted lead has a thicker wallet thanks to Marvel Studios!

Ahead of the release of Timothée Chalamet’s Dune: Part Two, the actor expresses excitement over the possibility of a third movie. He said in an interview with Total Film:

The idea excites me very much. If the time and opportunity comes to complete the story with Messiah, I think we’re all super enthusiastic about that.”

Director Denis Villeneuve teased what fans can expect from the sequel and claimed that the first two movies are already a complete story.

All of the elements are there, but I think the movie adaptation is more tragic than the book. The way that Part Two ends… it would create a total balance and equilibrium to finish Paul’s storyline in what we could say in Part Three.”

Catch Dune: Part Two in theaters this March 1, 2024.
