‘The Bear’ Star Refuses To Believe 1 Fact About Jennifer Aniston’s Iconic Sitcom

Following an award-winning chef who returns to his hometown and takes over the kitchen of his diseased brother’s sandwich shop, The Bear has become one of the most successful shows on Hulu. Originally premiered in 2022, the comedy show has recently been renewed for a third season. As the show prepares for its next season, actor and restaurateur Matty Matheson, who plays the role of Neil Fak in the Emmy-winning series, expressed his newfound understanding of sets in a conversation with Interview Magazine.

Talking about the filming on these sets, the actor also expressed his disbelief in how an iconic show like FRIENDS was able to operate within these limited criteria.

The Bear Star Was Surprised With One Fact About FRIENDS

However, The Bear actor Matty Matheson, who admitted to a prior lack of understanding about the intricacies of working on a set, expressed his disbelief about how such incredible shows can be crafted within what he described as “concrete caves.” The actor said in a conversation with Interview Magazine,

“You’re telling me that on Friends, all these people were just going to a concrete cave? And all these actors just live in these f*cking caves? That’s the craziest thing to me.”

He also shared that he did not understand how these things worked before joining the Hulu comedy-drama The Bear. “I never understood what a set was,” he said. Reflecting on his own experience working on a set inside an airplane hangar for three months, he shared that he was amazed to discover how entire fictional worlds could be crafted within such spaces for production.

Matty Matheson Took the Spotlight at the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards

The Bear led all programs with six major wins alongside the HBO drama Succession at the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards. However, the attention shifted to Matty Matheson during the award ceremony when his co-star Ebon Moss-Bachrach surprised everyone by kissing him on stage while accepting the award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

The actor addressed the onstage kiss in a recent interview with CBC, saying, “He kissed me for a long time, and it was really nice—I really loved it and it was really beautiful.” Matheson, who also serves as The Bear’s producer, shared that he was also surprised as he did not expect Moss-Bachrach to do something like that. “I didn’t really expect that,” he further said in the interview.

In addition to his role in the Emmy-winning show, Matheson is also a renowned real-life chef, managing multiple restaurants and hosting cooking shows like Dead Set on Life and It’s Suppertime! And the actor is also expected to return in the next season of the beloved comedy-drama.
