The Stallones have found their second home at Paramount+. After the successful launch of their docuseries, The Family Stallone, patriarch Sylvester Stallone and the rest of his family will be returning for their second season next month. All 10 episodes of the second season will arrive on the platform on February 21, joining the existing episodes from season 1.

The Family Stone was renewed for a second season back in May 2023, just a week after the first season debuted on the streaming platform. Season 2’s order came after the first season debuted with a perfect 100% approval rating by the critics at Rotten Tomatoes, and Paramount+ also touted the show’s success as the most watched original reality series on the service.

The Family Stallone follows Sylvester Stallone, wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone, and their three adult daughters, Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet. While Sly has long been a veteran of the screen, this is his first foray into reality television, marking some new territory for the Rocky star. An official description for the new season reads:

“This season, after four decades as one of Los Angeles’ most famous families, the Stallones are leaving Hollywood for good and moving east. With daughters Sophia and Sistine following their dreams in New York City and Scarlet navigating college and a new love in Miami, Stallone and his wife set up roots in Palm Beach as empty nesters. But distance can’t keep this family apart as the season culminates in a life-changing trip to Italy to explore their family history, rekindle love and make a lifetime of memories.”

The show is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios. It is executive produced by Benjamin Hurvitz and Nadim Amiry alongside Bunim-Murray Productions’ Julie Pizzi, Farnaz Farjam, and Jonathan Singer. Chris Ray and Jason Williams serve as co-executive producers.

The Family Stallone Was a Hit at Paramount+

This may be new territory for Sylvester Stallone, but he compared the series to basically doing the ultimate “home movie” with his family. During an appearance on the Today Show ahead of the premiere of season 1, he addressed why he wanted to do the series and teased what fans can expect.

I’ve always wanted someone to film me while I’m brushing my teeth… Who wouldn’t want that documented? I thought it was a great idea in a way, because we have kind of a very interesting synergy.

On his family members, the actor added:

We laugh, we enjoy [each other], and everyone… and they bring it out in a good way. They all have distinctive personalities, and certainly Jennifer, and I’m a little nuts, so I thought OK, why not?”

The show also marks the second series to feature Sylvester Stallone at Paramount+. He is also the star of Tulsa King, a crime drama series created by Taylor Sheridan that stars Stallone as a capo who looks to build an empire after getting released from prison. That show has also brought in positive reviews along with high viewership and was previously renewed for a second season on Paramount+.
